Adventures At Archbald

Hello, loyal readers! Welcome back.

Now that the spring semester is over, I’m taking a different approach with my blog this summer. Instead of only sharing my work, I want to incorporate more of my personal life and the experiences that make me who I am. With that being said, I wanted to introduce a place that has had such a huge impact on my life: Camp Archbald in Kingsley, PA.

Camp Archbald has been one of my favorite places ever since I was a little girl. After what felt like an eternity of waiting all year, the two weeks of residential camp finally arrived, and I had the opportunity to spend another week at my favorite place.

Although the magic that has always lived at camp was still there, this year felt different for me. Usually, I’m a camp counselor helping lead programs, but this summer I decided to take a different approach and help with social media content and photography for future brochures and the website. It gave me a whole new appreciation for camp and allowed me to experience it from a different perspective.

I found myself noticing all the little moments in between the chaos, the hugs, the joy, the laughter, the friendships, and the memories being made. Having the opportunity to capture those moments was incredibly special, and it reminded me why this place has always held such a special spot in my heart.

Camp Archbald has been more than just a summer camp to me. It’s a place that has watched me grow up, introduced me to lifelong friendships, and given me memories I’ll carry forever. No matter how old I get or what role I have there, it will always feel like home, and I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving it.
