This is my second year taking graduation photos, but it was my first time promoting them. I made package plans for people to choose from, and it was a little intimidating at first. This was the first time I had gotten paid for a photography gig, so it added some pressure.
Kelly Longo
Kelly Longo is a longtime friend of mine, so I was very excited that she asked me to take her graduation photos. This is my second time taking her photos since she now has her masters in speech pathology. Since this was her last grad photos, she had brainstormed some ideas that she wanted to try out, and I was open to anything.
For these photos, she wanted to recreate a cover from the song Pretty Girl by Clairo.

This set of photos was my first time photographing a group. I was worried that I was going to run out of ideas, but luckily, they helped out by coming up with some ideas. The toughest part about all of these photos was the harsh lighting. But overall, I am happy with the results.

Along with the harsh lighting, another struggle I faced was the brown paper covering the windows of the LAC. With the help of Julie Potter, we were able to successfully edit the windows to look like they were never covered in the first place.
Julie Potter
Last but not least, I got to photograph the former photography blogger, Julie Potter. It was a bittersweet moment photographing her grad photos. She is the reason why I became so interested in photography in the first place. I joined the Shutterbugs Photography Club in my freshman year, and she was the President of the club. Now here we are, taking her graduation photos, and I follow in her footsteps by continuing her legacy.
