Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well! I’ve still been super busy with school and behind the scenes work, but I’ve been finding a lot more time to do some watercolor painting! I’ve tried my best to make time for it because not only do I really enjoy it, but it also clears my headspace. Watercolor painting has been great in filling the creative gap that ceramics usually fills. It’s rough being away from ceramics for so long, but it only makes the inspiration for new ideas greater!
Anyway, I took some pictures of what I’ve been painting, so here’s a peek!
If you couldn’t tell, I love painting shells! I really want to take a walk on the beach and find some interesting shells so that I can paint from real life. I’ve been looking at photos for loose inspiration, but I want to try to go for realism next time, so having the physical shells would be helpful.
Well, that’s all I have for this week! Hopefully, I’ll keep finding time to paint. I actually just made myself a mini watercolor kit that I can throw into any of my bags, so if I find time randomly, I can fill it with watercolor painting! Thank you all for reading, and stay creative!
