Crossing the Street in Dublin

Graffiti Near Temple BarThis past weekend, I took a trip to Ireland and got the chance to explore places like Dublin, the Cliffs of Moher, and Galway. Each place held a special charm that drew me in and made me never want to leave.

Dublin’s personality held an interesting past and people. Learning that the city was originally found by Vikings then later ruled by the British, the influences of both could still be seen today. The shops and restaurants were small but homey. The colors were cheerful despite the dreary and rainy atmosphere that was present most of the time. Even the graffiti held a certain charm. We were even lucky enough to experience some sunny days which made everything become brighter and more vibrant.

As we drove across the country to the Cliffs of Moher, the rolling hills stretched for miles covered with lively, green grass. The Cliffs themselves were a sight to behold. With a staggering drop, it was intimidating close to the edge. The ocean itself was a cold, greenish blue and looked unforgiving with the spray across the rocks as the waves hit the edge. But the beauty of it all was breathtaking.

It was interesting getting the chance to photograph and learning about everything Ireland had to offer. I honestly wish I could have stayed for another week to fully explore the beauty of the country.
