Panorama

Many people now own a smartphone of some kind that has a camera with the capability to shoot in panorama mode. They can produce a good quality picture while also making it very easy to use. However, there may come a time when the quality of the phone’s camera isn’t good enough. In that case, we turn to Photoshop.

Unlike the continuous motion used when taking a panorama with a smartphone, a photographer is required to take separate photos pivoting from one spot. These photos are then stitched together in Photoshop. Below is an example of the process that is taken. 

When opening Photoshop, under File > Automate, you should see Photomerge. After selecting that option, a pop up box will appear in which you can select the files that will create the panorama.

Once you hit “OK,” Photoshop will automatically piece the separate photos together creating a panorama.

Your next step would be to crop it, flatten the image, and make any edits you would usually do. The end result would be a high quality panorama.
