Bucket lists are a great way to start off the New year! I I think that everyone should make a bucket list or at least think about what might be on it. Bucket lists can help people with lots of things such as:
- Focus: Bucket lists help you focus your thoughts and intentions.
- Motivation: Bucket lists can help you stay motivated and make you feel accomplished.
- Learning: Bucket lists can help you learn new things, explore new places, and discover new opportunities.
- Creativity: Bucket lists can help you get creative and come up with new ways to accomplish your goals.
- Memories: Bucket lists can help you create meaningful memories and feel a sense of fulfillment.
- Sense of purpose: Bucket lists can help you find a sense of purpose and direction in your life.
- Self-reflection: Bucket lists can help you reflect on your values and goals.
Bucket lists can be about many areas of life ranging from things you want to learn to cook, to goals that you want to achieve in life.
In my Intro to Graphic Design class we practiced using underlying grids and creating a harmonious eye catching design by making bucket lists for ourselves!
I made a bucket list with a few of the goals that I want to achieve during my life, and I chose a more primary leaning color scheme so that it would be eye catching. I used an underlying grid so that I could make sure that my design had even margins and was well balanced. Using an underlying grid may not seem that important but it really makes a big difference in how easily an infographic will be read and perceived. From there all I had to do was pick some fun fonts and add in a few graphics to support the design. I tried to keep an overall balance with my composition and choices of colors, and kept in mind my use of contrast to emphasize and separate different phrases.
Overall I really loved this project, I found it fun and loved experimenting with type, shape, and color. Upon reflection I think that I would make the blue of the t-shirt, dog and flowers a bit lighter to create more contrast between them. So that they are easier to see from farther away.
