Continued Portrait Practice:

We are now at the homestretch for the Spring 2025 semester. Frankly, it is hard to believe I am almost finished with my fourth semester at Marywood University. That said, as an illustration major in the Marywood University Art Department, I currently have a lot of final projects and assignments in the works. I anticipate sharing one of them in my next post! For the time being, I wanted to quickly share my ongoing practice and study of human illustrations.

Illustrating humans is one of the most difficult aspects of illustration because we are subconsciously aware of human anatomy and any slight variation would result in the piece falling into “uncanny valley”. This semester, I spent countless hours honing in on illustrating humans and enhancing my skills. As a result, I wanted to quickly share some of my favorites 🙂
