Last weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph for the Electric City Music Conference this year. I got to meet so many artists and photographers. The award ceremony took place at the V Spot on Thursday, September 11, 2025, and on Friday and Saturday, I was downtown at Backyard Ale House, The Bog, and Sergei’s. It was an eventful three days, but I had an amazing time. I got a press pass, so I was able to get special access to the bars.

When photographing for the conference, we wanted to tell a story of how downtown Scranton experiences music, so not only were the artists photographed, but also the audience. One of the main struggles I faced while photographing was the dark lighting. In certain settings, I would use my flash and sometimes play around with shutter drag.

Overall, I had a fun time this weekend, and I hope to photograph for the conference again next year! Which of these images are your favorites?
