Hometown Nonprofit Redesign!

annapolis green logo

For one of my final projects in my Graphic Design II class, my classmates and I each got to choose a nonprofit business to redesign for. We are to redesign their logo for starters, then put together mockups for a letterhead, an envelope, a website, and even a t-shirt design. So far I have redesigned the logo and the letterhead, and I am pretty happy with how it is turning out!

I ended up choosing a nonprofit from Annapolis, Maryland where I am from. It is called Annapolis Green and it is an environmentally conscious nonprofit that focuses on connecting with businesses to inform them about better caring for the environment and the community. They also host a social event called “Green Drinks Annapolis”, so I ended up redesigning a logo for that as well! I thought it would be neat to continue with their theme of having a sailboat to represent Annapolis, and I thought incorporating the recycling sign in there somewhere would help make the message of what they are trying to do clearer. Once I finish the rest of the redesign, I plan to send it to the people at Annapolis Green to see if they would be interested in using my new designs!

Here is their current logo:
