Spoiler Alert: It’s super fun!
In my 3D Design class, we just made molds out of silicon and cornstarch and let them set over spring break. We then used plaster to bring our designs to life!
This was actually my first time working with plaster, so I had a few moments where I messed up, like in the picture above I had waited too long to start pouring so it was already solidifying as I poured it but it worked out in the end!
I had actually let it dry out for too long, so it was a little too brittle and cracked into several pieces as you can see above I had to glue them all back together.

We had to make quite a few, so I eventually figured out how to time everything from how long to mix, and how long to wait for the plaster to dry to remove it from the mold!
Next up is painting all of the plaster parts and putting them all together!
I hope everyone has a great upcoming week!
