This weekend saw an Open House and an Art Therapy Symposium as well as nicer weather hit the art building. I’m told both events went rather well, though I personally attended neither.
With the school year winding down many of the galleries are starting to prepare for the annual senior show.
Gates will open April 18, 2026 from 1-4pm for the Opening Reception and the show will be on display until pretty much the end of the semester, closing May 16, 2026.
Other activities one can participate in while waiting for the show to open include:
- – making a cake
- – frolicking in the art field
- – wandering the halls of Insalaco to admire student artwork from the semester
- – eating a cake
- – asking a local art major if they in fact drew that as they actively draw the picture (only for the most brave or most foolish)
- – visiting the nurses after asking an art major if they drew that
- – listening to one (1) music
- – or simply staring at those setting up the gallery
