As the spring semester comes to an end, Marywood University’s art department seniors are wrapping up their final projects by showcasing their hard work at the annual Senior Exhibition. This year’s exhibition featured a diverse gallery that captured the students’ artistic growth and experiences through sculptures, paintings, photography and more. The show will be on view throughout the Insalaco Center for Studio Arts at Marywood from April 18-May 16, 2026.

I had the opportunity to attend the opening reception and capture the celebration throughout the evening. Not only was I able to photograph the students’ hard work on display, but I also got to experience the excitement and positivity that filled the gallery. Walking through the exhibition, each piece felt personal and unique to the artist behind it, while still sharing a common theme of growth and creativity. From bold, eye-catching pieces to quieter, more reflective works, every project helped create an atmosphere that truly felt inspiring and alive.

Overall the opening reception brought students, faculty, friends, and family together to celebrate years of hard work and creativity. Being able to capture both the artwork and the energy of the evening through photography made the experience even more meaningful, and served as a reminder of the strong creative community at Marywood University.
