Earlier this month, I went on the Art Department’s Annual trip to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. I am currently taking History of Art I with my teacher Mark Webber this semester so our whole class was able to go to The Met. This was my second time going to The Met but this time I brought my camera with me.

Since I’m taking History of Art I, it was so cool seeing the works of art we have talked about in class. In this class we talked about Ancient Greek and Roman Art so seeing the sculptures and art styles we talked about in class was fascinating. Going from looking at art from a projector to seeing it with your own eyes in front of you is surreal.

I’m so glad that I brought my camera with me on this trip. From people drawing sculptures to capturing the sculptures themselves, it’s a fun way to capture new things.

What I love about The Met is how big and diverse it is. There is so much art there being there for a day isn’t enough. Even though this is my second time being there, I saw so many new things that I did not see the last time I was there.
