Hi, my name is Antonia Summa and I will be the new blogger for the Photography category. Julie Potter has passed the baton to me and I am very excited to be a part of the blog. This year I am a Junior photography major and I am interested in becoming a concert photographer. I love music and art so I thought concert photography will be a good mix of both. Every summer my family and I will take a trip down to Wildwood, New Jersey. This was my first summer with my camera so I had a lot of fun taking pictures at the beach. I experimented with all different kinds of subjects so it helped me expand my skills.
Wildwood
These photos I took while walking around Wildwood. My favorite images to take were of the buildings as they have lines guiding your eyes through the image. It was a very bright day so when I took the photos some of the color and detail were lost so when I edited them I made them a bit more vibrant.

Cape May
Another place my family likes to go to while we are at Wildwood is Cape May. Cape May is a small town full of history and many Victorian houses.
Cape May is a very colorful town so I wanted to capture the color. When editing I played around with the temperature to add even more color and I’m happy with the result.

Boardwalk and More Wildwood
I took these while on the boardwalk and learned how to use long exposure. Using a tripod and a slower shutter speed, I was able to take photos of the lights in motion.

For most of the photos, I used my 18-24mm lens except for the photo of the seagull. for that photo, I used my 75-300mm lens so I was able to get close-up details of the seagulls. The seagulls were easy to approach as they are used to tourists in the area so I was even able to get closer to them to get this shot.
Which of these photos was your favorite? Mine is the photo of the street sign with the bikes. It was perfect timing that people were riding their bikes in front of that sign.
