Comic Excitement

In my General Illustration class, we are currently working on making a comic! I am EXTREMELY excited for this project! I love reading comics a lot even though I’ve only made a handful of full-page comics in my life, as I usually end up just making short strips instead.

Without divulging too much info to save for my next update here on WhereCreativityWorks.com, my comic revolves around Suzy (Full name Sousaphone, and trust me I’m asking the same question, what were her parents thinking when they chose to name her that?) and her cat Robert the Intellectual, he can even tie his own little bowtie (No one tell him that it is a clip on please, it would shatter his heart) and he can also write on a little whiteboard, which will prove useful as events occur.

This project has been super fun so far, currently I am working on the first rough draft for the two pages we have assigned. One thing I shouldn’t have been surprised by but still am is that the part I’m the most indecisive on are how I want the panels to lay out because there are all kinds of ways you could arrange them! I will keep you all updated on the rough draft soon!

Stay tuned for Suzy and Robert’s first adventure!
