Comic Progress

Making a comic is no piece of cake, but seeing the final product is super rewarding! In my General Illustration class this semester, we are currently working on a comic and mine revolves around our protagonist Suzy, her cat Robert, and a rotten radioactive protein shake.

This project was super fun as we had a lot of creative freedom for the whole process! First we had our rough sketches and a critique after every step, which is extremely helpful because feedback helps you achieve the best final result!

Rough draft page two

As you can see above, my rough draft was very rough. During the first critique, I received very helpful advice, such as making the final panel its own page!

The line art stage!

The final! As you can see, I did rearrange some panels from the previous stage. Criticism is an incredibly helpful thing while working on any project, but especially on larger ones like these where there are many steps along the way!

I’ll be keeping you all updated!
