Hello everyone! With the official start of the semester underway at Marywood, a lot of us are coming back to the area. This labor day weekend is full of fun things to do, so I thought I’d highlight my favorite Scranton event, La Festa Italiana.

La Festa is an annual celebration of Italian food, music, and culture in Scranton. I have always loved the experience of walking through the stands that line courthouse square each year. If you’re a foodie, I’d look no further to try the best cannoli and pasta this side of the Atlantic has to offer. La Festa isn’t all about the Italians though, small businesses bring their wares and talents to showcase, and everyone celebrates the city of Scranton at this historic festival.

This year (2023) La Festa’s hours are: 4-10pm Friday, 11am-10pm Saturday and Sunday, and 11am-8pm Monday. Hope to see you there!
