Hi everyone, this week I was inspired to draw Pokémon once more! I recently starting playing the new games Pokémon Sword and Shield. One of my new favorite Pokémon is called Yamper. It’s so cute, it is an electric type puppy Pokémon. After seeing it I thought it looked a lot like a Corgi, so I decided to draw Yamper in a Corgi style.

For Christmas, I got full access to the program Clip Studio Paint Pro. I had a subscription to the program before, so I knew how to use it. I highly recommend this program for anyone who is new to digital drawing. With some practice, the program is very easy to use, and you can even do animation! That is next on my list.

I started out by sketching the dog with a corgi reference from Pixabay. I used the pencil tool to make the sketch, I like this tool for all of the different types of pencils you can draw with.

After I was done with the sketch, I drew over the pencil lines. I added more detail as I was drawing. I thought it would look nice for the dog to be in the grass. I used the blending mode in the program to get the finished look of highlights and shadows on the dog. I am very happy with his finished look.
