EXHIBITIONS GALORE!

An exhibition called “Vivid Dream” is having its opening reception Tuesday, April 28 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This exhibition is taking place at Northampton Community College and features work from graduating fine arts students. Works displayed were curated within an individual studio class that helped students explore different topics of interest. I deeply encourage checking out these works if you get a chance! The works will be on display until May 4, 2026.

On April 7th, a printmaking exhibition opened up at Lehigh University. This exhibit covers current political issues and activism. According to the information provided on the gallery, printmaking has been an extremely effective medium for activism due to it being accessible and easy to replicate. The exhibition is called “Impressions of Dissent: The Long History of Activism and Printmaking.”

Another cool exhibit to check out is “Body Worlds 101.” Featured at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, PA until May 25th, “Body Worlds 101” shows human bodies that have undergone the tedious process of plastination. This works by removing all fluids from the body and replacing them with a plastic that hardens and preserves the corpse for display. Although I personally found this exhibit disturbing (I’ve gone twice now), it’s extraordinarily fascinating to see the human body and all of its anatomy on show for study. It deeply dissects each part to help educate visitors on physiology, health conditions, and the resilience of our form. If you are interested in anatomy, physiology, or visiting a fun exhibit, I recommend stopping by if you can.
