I hope everyone is enjoying their fall break! Right before everyone went home, two new exhibitions were being installed in the Art Department at Marywood University.
The first is an exhibition called Tracing the Sky featuring the work of artist Steve Poleskie. This show is currently being held within the Maslow Study Gallery, located on the first floor of the Shields Center for Visual Arts. In addition to the artwork on view, students in the Graphic Design and Aviation programs assisted with developing a fully illustrated catalog.
The second exhibition is a new collection being shown in the newly relocated Mahady Gallery, now on the first floor of the Insalaco Center for Studio Arts. In this show, there’s a selection of artworks chosen by art faculty from the Suraci Gallery’s permanent collection. This showing features a variety of media, including paintings, pottery, and statues, and there will be an artist talk on Wed Oct 29, 2025 at 3pm where guests can learn from art faculty about their selections.

My personal favorite is this marble bust:
Overall, I highly recommend checking out both galleries when you get the chance!
