One of the most important things I have learned from my art professors here at Marywood is that making a name for yourself is key. In the design world there are many opportunities out there for getting internships and jobs. But what will separate you from others is how you promote yourself so you can be noticed.
Projects not only inside the classroom but also outside the classroom can be helpful because it shows that you are continuing to design on your own time. There are so many ways to get your art work out there. We live in a world that revolves around social media. Start posting your designs / art on your Instagram, Twitter, or Tumblr accounts. Create a blog, create a simple website, start a Behance page! In addition to posting your work be sure to also follow other artists and designers so that you can see what they are producing! You never know; someone could scroll past your designs one day and the next day you may have a job interview!
