Two Fridays ago, I had the opportunity to attend Marywood’s Art History trip to the greatest city in the entire world, New York City! Okay, I may be a bit biased when I say it is the greatest city but it is my favorite city because I consider it a home and it is filled with art around each and every corner. I truly consider New York City a work of art itself, this city is beyond beautiful, inspirational, electric, and colorful! There is never a dull moment and I find myself falling more and more in love with this city each and every visit!
As soon as the bus made it through the Lincoln Tunnel, my face lit up like a Christmas tree and I felt all warm and happy inside! The best part was the fact I was blessed with a beautiful and sunny day so how could I not feel that way?! And, a gorgeous day like that one was destined to be a day for great photographs.
One of my favorite things to do when I visit the city and simply visit anywhere in general is to capture pictures. I can honestly and openly admit, I am a photo junky, I take pictures of everything and anything. It is a hobby of mine that I had since I was young. I remember receiving my first camera when I as in fifth grade, I took pictures of everything! My family were typically my main focus just because they were always around and because I lived with them but as the years went on nature and the world outside around me became my main focus and interest.
Now, I am not claiming I am a professional or a wiz when it comes to taking photos but I do know what pleases my eyes personally and I go with my gut! I think that is good to have an interest that you can do whatever you wish and not go by the rules, a hobby that is truly enjoyable, fun, and makes you happy without any high expectations and that is what photography/taking photos does for me.
And, here are just a few shots I got during this lovely visit that I truly adore!
