I’ve used a brush in most of my recent paintings so I decided it was time to switch it up. I had taken some photos at a candy store in my town a few days ago and chose one for this painting. It was nice to use the knife again. I really like that the knife forces me to loosen up and use more paint. It was also a bright and cheery color palette so I had a lot of fun with this one. I put about 5 hours into this painting and I still could work on it a little more but I might just leave it be.
