Peace Out, Art Blog

As I’ve wrapped up my final semester at Marywood, it’s time to close out my time with this blog as well. I’ve been reflecting on my time blogging as one of the many great opportunities I’ve gotten while attending Marywood. During my time in school, I’ve accumulated and shared all sorts of art knowledge that I hope to carry on as I move forward in my career.

Now that I’ve finished my undergraduate degree, I plan on continuing my work at the Waverly Community House to build experience in archival work. I’ve also begun to think about attending grad school thanks to some encouragement from my professors, and I expect that when that decision comes I’ll be very well prepared. The skills and knowledge I’ve developed at Marywood are indispensable, and I believe the university’s Arts Administration program is one-of-a-kind. Being able to work in the Maslow Gallery on campus as well as other local art institutions provided an educational approach that I truly believe I wouldn’t have gotten elsewhere. My current employment at the Comm. is practically owed to Marywood’s commitment to community involvement. I sincerely hope more students follow the Arts Admin path, as it is an incredibly unique and fulfilling experience.

This blog enhanced my college experience as well, giving me a wonderful opportunity to stay involved in the art world outside of my courses. It was enriching to express my thoughts and passions in a more casual and creative manner. Overall, I’m grateful for everything Marywood offers, and thank you to everyone who read my posts!
