Enjoying two incredible weeks at the International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art (ICCCIA),in Scranton, I headed back home to Philly. Just in time to celebrate Limitless Performance Arts award ceremony, where they celebrate their dancers on completing a year of hard work and growth. I have also had the pleasure of being a dancer at LPA for six years. Upon graduating I had taken several classes at LPA such as: Tap, Ballet, Hip-hop, Jazz, Modern and African. LPA also has a competition team, however, you have to try out for the team because only a select few can make the cut. In addition to the other classes I listed above I also participated in the the competition team for three years. LPA continue to grow and each year I try to make it to the award ceremony.
This is a big-time during the year for the dancers where they can just relax with their family and friends before the end of the show. We come together to enjoy each other company along with food and dance of course. Some of the dancers would have a special recognized for outstanding working. For example my niece Tamara was recognized in her Tap classroom. She is in an intermediate/advanced Tap Class and this is her first time taking tap. They are so many other incredible dancers there are recognize at this dinner.
I cannot wait until the big celebrity because I miss dancing so much. However, the main reason is because I can see so many dancers personal come out on stage or at least forces them to. My niece is so shy but when she is on the stage you could not tell. Each year she performance she leaves everything on the stage. It brings joy to me to see her grow and develop into a beautiful dancer and I know the day of the show she is going to be fabulous. The end of the year show is this Saturday. Stay tuned!
