During winter break, I’ll be in the studio making some custom jewelry pieces. Since I don’t want to ruin the surprise of anyone’s Christmas presents, this post is going to stay pretty quick and vague- I’ll follow up with the finished work after the holiday!
The jewelry I’m working on now is very different from the pieces you’ve seen me produce all semester. Instead of plaster and brass, I’m using silver and an assortment of natural stones I’ve been hoarding since the summer. I purchased a ton of cabochons (usually dome-shaped stones with flat backs) for bezel setting, which I’ll incorporate into earrings, pendants, and rings this week.
That’s basically all I can say without giving anything away, but I can’t wait to share pictures of the finished products after they’re delivered!
