The process of a final piece sometimes takes days to even months to formulate. As this semester rolls to a near end, I’ve grown closer to the final design for a project that has been in the works for a few months now.
The first trail started with a small shaped piece of porcelain that was then worked with small dots and lines to create movement through the piece.
The second trail started with the familiar design, but progressed more in size and dot work. The line work moved more along a central point and blended into the background into the piece and also turned into a clearer depiction of line.
The final trail changed form completely and the lines overthrow the dot work to create a sort of realistic movement of the piece.
Only 120 more of this final design and they will be ready to show in my final year of graduate work.
