Projects for Friends!

I’ve always been one to make things for friends and family instead of buying them. I would paint or draw and occasionally sculpt, essentially anything they wanted, and that always worked for me! Once I learned how to use Photoshop, I started to get some new, more interesting, requests.

It mostly started with editing people’s faces on to weird pictures, but then it developed into something bigger, and objectively better. I’ve been asked to make collages for Facebook event headers, phone backgrounds, posters, and now I’m working on a logo for my friend’s brother’s band.

It’s weird how small fun projects for friends can turn into larger, and more intense work. It’s also been interesting to see how my friends react to new projects, and for them to see how much I’ve grown as an artist. Of course I still have friends that ask me to put someone’s face on a picture of bigfoot, or turn a snapchat into a prayer candle, but they also know that they can come to me with more serious work, and that I’ll put 110% into it, and that’s all I can really ask for.
