Unlike that typical “college spring break” image of traveling, sun, sand, and all that beachy goodness that pops into everyone’s head I am not doing anything close to that. Even though I wish I was, I am simply happy and relieved to have a break from classes to recollect my thoughts and to get refocused with a fresh mind set. Fortunately, this time around for spring break it does not require as much school work as it did in the past. I do have quite a bit of catch up work and assignments to do but it is all simple busy work that I should finish in no time!
I am glad to have more time for myself this break as well, especially time to catch up on sleep and get over an awful cold I had for the past two weeks. I am also glad I have more free time to work on my own projects and ideas. I think it is important to work on my own art work outside of the regular class assignments/projects because for me at least, it reminds me of why I wanted to pursue art in the first place and why I love it so much!
And, hopefully I will possibly be enjoying some warmer weather here on North Eastern Pennsylvania as well. As of now Wednesday is looking beyond perfect, a sunny day of seventy degrees, that is music to my ears. I am keeping my fingers crossed!
