Name: Baylee Napolitano
Year you’ll be graduating: Class of 2022
Major: Art Therapy
I am majoring in Art because it’s always been a dream of mine to help people in need and Art Therapy seemed like the perfect combination for me and I hope I get to inspire people through
it.
The kinds of things that inspire me are things in nature and or anything with symmetry.

My favorite class so far was Intro to Arts and Healing because it really gave me a sense of my major and made me extremely excited to see what I accomplish with years to come.
When I’m not in class I find myself working in my sketchbook and making plans for my next art projects.
The coolest thing I’ve done so far was when I was able to work with the mentally challenged elderly and I was able to make Valentine’s day arts and crafts with my classmates. It really felt like my first steps into art therapy and it was an overall amazing experience.

When I graduate, I wish to work in a school or hospital setting and helping children with mental illnesses through art therapy.
I’d recommend the Art program at Marywood because the faculty are extremely dedicated to their students and Marywood has given me many opportunities I never thought I could have.

My favorite medium is gouache paint because it’s almost a mixture of water color and acrylic. I love that its buildable and I feel like I can create great details with it.
