In my last post, I visited Allentown Art Museum. But, I wasn’t just there to explore their exhibitions, I was there for an interview! I applied to this museum for an internship last month and got the call to come in to sit with the programs director last week. I was very nervous but so excited to see if they were going to like me and would take me on as an summer intern.
Well, they did! I got the email asking if I would accept the position with them in the program development and event management department. Of course I accepted.
I am really excited to be working with them over the summer. I feel like I can learn so much from them and apply it to any future internship or job I have after school. Now I am setting up my hours with the museum so I can get my hours in for this to apply for credit.
As far as I know I will be with four other interns, so I am really hoping we all get along and this can be the best part of my summer. I am so ready to do this for the rest of my life but I’m also so nervous just because I don’t want to mess anything up, but I guess that’s life. Until then I have to get through finals week, which is going to be rough, but then I will be starting my senior year this upcoming fall!
