These past couple of weeks has been hard for my family. I lost my sister, Ashlee, over a year ago and her birthday was on July 4th, she would of been 15 years old. Most of my focus has been on my family during this tough time. My family decided to have some of Ashlee’s friends over to release lanterns in her honor. Family and friends also wrote notes to Ashlee and other friends and family that have passed and burned them in the fire. My family did this last year with balloons but I think the lanterns work and look better. A lot of people showed up and took photos of the process and they came out amazing and I thought I would share them with everyone. I think this is a great way to get people together and share there grief and memories with each other.
