Video Game Art (Marvel Rivals)

So lately I have been playing a lot of video games during my time on Disney, other than drawing, but one game that has captured my attention (and also my wallet) is none other than Marvel Rivals. Now you may be wondering, “Fabiana, what are Marvel Rivals?,” well I am glad you asked. Marvel Rivals is a superhero shooter-based PVP game. At least that is according to their website, hehe. I like to call it a game that you’ll hate to love. But aside from the frustrations it can bring when you do not work as a team, I like to see the art and passion the creators put into this game, and I think you’ll like to admire it as well.

If you look closely at some characters, you will see how they use color and how each character has a unique aspect about them. For example, we can examine one of my favorite characters to play, the Invisible Woman. Each set of costumes is individually unique, and they have a different set of animations that come with them for her powers as well. She is also one of the most complicated characters to learn to use, but once you know how to use her in-game, I promise she becomes much easier to understand.

But aside from that, what I also like about the game is that the developers have amazing videos about their art behind the game. They explain where they get their details and how they use color, and honestly, it is a great way to learn about game art since they love to explain their environments and characters. Also, they released a book with all of their art on the game so far, and they published designs for the next costumes that come onto the game later on. If you are ever interested in looking at those videos, they are up on YouTube and on their official website as well. Right now, they just announced a new hero, which is Deadpool, and he is one of the most unique characters so far. He looks like so much fun to play in-game, and if you love a complicated character, he might be your choice of a pick during practice matches.

Overall, that’s enough advertising for a game lol. If you wanna know more about the game, let me know in the comments below! I would love to teach you guys about the game and even play a few rounds. Anyways, see y’all till next time and stay tuned for more!
