This week has really got my emotions all over the place! The only thing I can think of is to take all the warm colors together to make a project and cheer myself up.

Using the colors brown, red, orange, and yellow, I’m going to create a rather warm scenery to brighten up my entire week.

Normally when I just sit myself down to do a project I don’t have an idea of what I want first. I create a “wash” for a background of colors and patterns. I use specific brushstrokes to make a background that I think would work well as a sunset.

At this point, I begin to think what I would want with these colors and use brown to make the outlines. Eventually, my piece is finally complete!

Sitting down and unwinding in paint is one of the best things, and not having an idea makes it so much more fun!
