I had the opportunity to spend this past weekend in Cape Cod. I stayed with a friend who lives close to Provincetown – an energetic and pride-filled community. While I was there I decided to do some watercolor sketches of the landscape and lighting.
I think that watercolor sketches are a good idea while you’re traveling because not only can you capture the composition but also color. I have this nice compact layered watercolor palette so it’s easy to take with me.
So I did a few watercolors, trying not to be too detailed because I find that when I do the painting comes out muddy. So here are my results, until next week! 😉
