Now that the Senior Show reception is over, I’m using the rest of the semester to finish up projects and make things for fun. In Jewelry I made a ring out of brass tubing and a reverse bezel set facet stone. I really love the pyramid shape the stone has when it’s set upside down. I like the different size tubing because they look like bubbles when put together. I thought it would like nice when they covered a portion of the finger and surrounded the stone.

I think I’ve definitely improved on my stone setting skills. It takes time and patience. I hope to keep practicing with stones and different settings. I ordered several more stones and I would like to have a few more things made before the semester comes to an end. When I graduate I would like to continue with the work I’ve started at Marywood but in my own studio.
