Hello again, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far! For me, it seems to be flying by so quickly.
We just finished up the third week in July, which means Art Fight is almost over.
As mentioned in my previous posts, I’ve been participating in an art trading event called Art Fight, which is held online every year during the month of July. During Art Fight, you draw other people’s original characters to achieve points for your team. (As of writing this, the two teams Crystals and Fossils, are evenly tied at 50-50 each.)
Over the last two weeks, I’ve completed five attacks, with two more still in progress.
To start, I finished the attack that I was still working on at the end of my last post. The character above is Asteria, belonging to my friend Nori, also known on Art Fight as @/_AnInsaneRaccoon_. This character was a bit of a challenge due to her monochromatic palette but I think I managed to make it work.
Next, I have Nox belonging to @/Dex_Clown. This character was rather simple in its design, so I tried a new painting style to add some spice.
After that, I have Sophie belonging to @/EL1O. Her design was too cute to pass up.
Second to last for the week is Ziggy, Jess’s character. Her design was also too cool to pass up, and I tried a more dramatic style for hers.
And finally, for the last two weeks we have Matt’s character, Minnowwish. He was a bit of a challenge to draw for me because I don’t really draw animals much. Regardless, one of the points of Art Fight is to step out of your comfort zone and to try new things.
And that’s it! As of right now, all of my pieces have awarded team Crystal with 307.5 points.
