Hello everyone! I wanted to share a project I had to work on for my Intermediate Illustration class. We had to pick one of the seven deadly sins and make a book cover for it. The book cover had to include the name of the sin and an illustration on the front and back. I did lust and I drew a high heeled shoe that has a knife as the heel. The shoe is standing in a pool of blood beneath it and in the shoe has lyrics from Taylor Swift’s song, “Blank Space”. I got inspiration from her song because the music video to the song is about going crazy over the betrayal of a lover and I thought it fit the mood pretty well. For the book’s title, I picked a gothic type to freehand because I have always liked gothic type and just overall the gothic aesthetic so I kept the colors limited to red, black and white.
