This week I would like to talk about an art organization near where I live in PA!
The Carlisle Arts Learning Center (CALC) is based out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The facility provides art courses for both adults and children at reasonable prices in a variety of mediums. When I was younger, I participated in courses that instructed children on techniques surrounding hand-made clay projects. Not only was this a great social experience as a child, but it encouraged learning about art in a supportive and structured way.
There is also the opportunity to become a member and receive these courses at a discounted rate. Students have the chance to join at a discounted rate too! Members get the ability to submit artwork for display at CALC’s building in the Sales Gallery.
In the event you do not live in the South Central Pennsylvania area but may be passing through the area, CALC does have exhibits open to the public!
Currently, there are two exhibits being showcased by CALC. Come see the work on view!
