I enjoy creating collages from time to time. Occasionally I’ll make them in my sketchbook or on a scrap piece of paper in between paintings. The other day I was working on a small painting on paper and really couldn’t seem to make it work. So I had this idea to cut it up and start attaching pieces to the back of an old canvas to start a collage. After adding some other pieces of card board and a wooden loom it started to create an interesting composition that I could play around with. Hopefully this will encourage me to keep exploring collage work!
Still so excited to get back in the studio this week; I am taking my first sculpture class and I can’t wait!!
