Throughout my research for my thesis project, I’ve struggled with the process of adding color to each sculpture. Half due to the fact that glazes never look the same time after time and the other half due to the fear that adding too much color will take away from the effect of each piece.

Last week I finally decided to take the leap and add amounts of color to a piece I wasn’t too crazy about in the first place. The process included using 3-D paint to add texture along with color to the sculpture.

Although I am happy with the results, only time will tell if I continue to add color to the other pieces in my collection.
