Check ‘Em Out!

Finally, some exiting on-campus art news! We currently have a few exhibitions making their way onto our walls/pedestals on campus.

Faculty Exhibit

If you are an art student, art fan, or just a living breathing human, take a swing by the Mahady Gallery in the Shields Center for Visual Arts now through November 24th to catch some of the work done by our faculty here at Marywood. It is a multimedia exhibit, so it includes many different styles, mediums and objects. If you’ve ever wanted to see what kind of gorgeous, intriguing and sometimes horrific visions exist within the minds of your professors, now is your chance! Stop by between the hours of 10am-2pm Monday through Wednesday, and 10am-4pm on Thursday and Friday.

Taken directly from the flyer, the 2020 Biennial Faculty Gallery is a “Multimedia exhibition of current work by Marywood University’s Art Department faculty showcasing a diverse range of styles, mediums, and techniques of 19 artists–educators.” including:

VOTE 2020

Another upcoming, exciting and important exhibition to pay attention to is the VOTE 2020 gallery. You can find it on the second floor of the Learning Commons now through November 8th. For this exhibition students were to create “Create an 11×17 sized color poster to promote the importance of voting, especially during this year’s presidential election.” Posters will be hung until November 8th, so if you want to see the skills of your fellow design students, make sure you don’t miss it! Also, make sure you vote!
