Hello everyone! How are you guys this week?

This week in my illustration class we have been working on designing an amusement park. By that I mean we have designed the theme, the man, the tickets, and even made a little model of one of the rides.

The theme I picked was kaiju, large monsters that attack Tokyo and other cities. Some famous ones you may know are Godzilla, King Kong, and the monsters from Pacific Rim. Because the history of Godzilla and other large monsters leads back to the atomic bombs of World War 2, I decided to use the cute style of classic animation from the 1930’s and 40’s. I figured it would be both ironic in calling out the scariness and danger of the monsters, while at the same time making it almost family friendly.

I also made a Godzilla waterslide for my 3d model piece!
