Hey guys! These past weeks we were working on making things look like watercolors in Photoshop. I’d never worked on a technique like this and I gotta say it was a lot of fun!

We started out with picking a recipe. The one I chose was a strawberry cupcake because I really wanted to draw out some strawberries. Our teacher gave us different options, one we could draw traditionally and scan the line art in, or we could draw it on the computer. I really like traditional art and I’m pretty good at using pens for my line art, so I went that route.

After scanning it in, he showed us how to make our own brushes, as well as how to add textures with multiple layers. It was really cool to see the art come to life! Here’s what it looked like after I was done!

I’m very happy with the results and I really want to work like this again! I love the textures I got, and I want to figure out how to use the same techniques on Clip Studio Paint, which is the art program I use on my home computer! That’s all for this week, take care guys!
