Hello everyone! This week Marywood students are heading back to class, and I thought I would shine some light on a nearby Scranton icon, the Electric City Trolley Station and Museum.
The city of Scranton has a lot of history, and we get our name, “The Electric City” from the electric cable cars that used to run all around the area. The Trolley Museum is the place to see the history that shaped a part of Scranton’s Identity. I do love history, but today I would like to appreciate the art of restoration in these pieces.

Many of these cars have been carefully brought back to their original beauty by professionals. These details are what make this museum most effective. These cars are so well restored, and made in such an accurate way that it is easy to imagine what it was like to ride in one every day.

As always I urge you all to visit this museum, admission prices and more info can be found on the website. Before you go, I have one more recommendation. This is my last blog post on the Where Creativity Works page. I have had lots of fun sharing what I find with you all off campus, and I recommend that everyone continue to read the next Off Campus Art News blog posts. Goodbye! Go adventure! Love, Ellie.
