Over the past few weeks over winter break, I have done a lot of baking and cooking! One specific thing that I cooked with my Nana was a homemade apple pie from scratch. We used her pie dough recipe and filling. I’m not a pie person, but I will tell you, I liked this one a lot.
I got a set of alcohol markers a while ago and was messing around in my sketch book one day and drew little strawberries. After drawing these I thought drawing other food would be fun as well! So both my ideas from cooking/baking, and drawing food combined into creating a little recipe page!
I first drew the pie with my own type of flare. Bright and fun. I was still testing out new colors of my marker set so this was still very experimental. After my pie drawing was completed I took my Nana’s recipe and wrote down the ingredients and steps on how to get it just right!
Overall this process allowed me to experiment, and come up with a fun way to display my new markers, along with my Nana’s recipe! I am planning on making more of these recipe pages and experimenting further with my page layouts!
