Spring ’24 Galleries

As the Spring semester starts up, I would like to introduce two gallery openings this weekend. Both receptions will be on January 27th from 1-4pm and will be up until March 2nd.

“Looking Back and Looking Forward” in the Mahady Gallery

Will feature work from Earl Lehman, who is local to the Scranton area. Lehman’s work consists of painting, mixed media, and drawings that depict various seasonal landscapes as well as abstractions. He will be presenting an artist talk during the reception of the gallery around 2pm.

“Tranquil Currents” in the Suraci Gallery

Will consist of work from one of Marywood’s faculty, Mark Chuck. His works incorporate his love for ceramics and appreciation for nature into one. Specifically, Chuck has an appreciation for fish and utilizing imagery surrounding them in his work.

Please consider stopping by the reception to support these passionate artists! Each will offer a unique view to their respective mediums and individual processes. There will be several galleries this semester and I encourage you to view as many as you can. They will be free to the public and allow you to support various types of craftsmanship.
