Final Countdown

Hello everyone! I am sure most of you are aware but the Spring semester of 2020 is coming to an end this week. We are approaching our last week which is packed full of final exams, paper and projects. The end of this semester has been interesting due to the current global pandemic. Most of my Professor decided to assign both final paper and final exams due this upcoming week. I can’t promise it won’t be a challenge but I will persevere!

Out of all my finals due I am most excited about completing my essays. I find essays to be more personal rather than just filling out a multiple choice exam which really does not determine what you actually learned regarding works of art. Having the freedom to put together the knowledge I currently have in an essay format really helps me determine what concepts I actually grasped this semester.

On the up side of this global pandemic I just received word back from the Everhart Museum of Natural History that I will be interning with the museum this summer! I am beyond ecstatic and humbled for this opportunity. I will be working with the Programs and Events team to coordinate events for their summer programs. As a child I had attended events that the Everhart would hold and it is crazy that now I will be helping to plan events like these. Unfortunately the opening date of the museum is in the air because of the pandemic but we are hopeful for the end of June or early July.

The past few months have been a roller coaster regarding my future and where I would end up but things seem to keep working out. I had been anticipating on graduating in December of 2020 and my adviser and I were unsure if that would still happen due to the pandemic. I am just grateful that it seems as though I will still be graduating on time regardless of the pandemic.
