Hello Everyone! I hope you are all safe. This week I’m going to share with you a project from my Advertising and Illustrative Photograpy class!
My professor for this class assigned us three projects at once for the end of the semester that we could hand in as we took the photographs. The projects included a self portrait, a story telling photograph, and a photograph where you used an LED light in a dark room.
This week I am going to show you my self portrait. I struggled with this project even though it is a simple one. I absolutely hate getting my photograph taken, so I had to force myself to take this photograph. To enjoy taking this photograph more I decided to take it at my mom’s farm against a round bale of hay.
I choose to take the photograph here because I’m happy when I am surrounded by farm animals. When I arrived at the farm I didn’t know where I was going to set up my camera to take the picture. I had to walk around for a little bit before I found the perfect spot.
To me, the perfect spot was leaning against a round bale of hay because of how bright the bale was. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a hay bale with a golden yellow color so I couldn’t pass the opportunity of taking a picture with it. Below is the final outcome of my self portrait.
That’s all for this week! I’ll share more projects next week! Stay safe! Stay healthy!
