As sort of a review of the second half of my semester, I’d like to share all of my non objective paintings before my final critique on Wednesday.
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but surprisingly I found that I really love non-objective paintings and plan to continue to explore this style in my future as a painter.
My goal for most of these paintings was to explore how it might be possible to have the surface of the painting enter the same space as the viewer. I really enjoy texture in artwork and I think that often times it makes the work into something different when it leaves the two dimensional realm.
With that being said, here are all the non-objective paintings I made in the past two months.
